By 8:00 p.m. ADT Sunday trough located over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:43 PM ADT 16 May 2026 A trough of low pressure will cross the marine district on Sunday.
Strong southwesterlies ahead of the trough will increase to strong to
gale force northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half and Anticosti.
