Issued 2:47 AM AST 25 November 2024 A low pressure system over the Eastern Gulf of St. Lawrence willdrift slowly eastward today as it gradually weakens. Strong
To gale force winds will continue around this low today and
Diminish from west to east overnight. A weak ridge will move across
the district Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, LaHave Bank, west Scotian
Slope, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Laurentian Fan, Gulf Magdalen -
northern half, and Anticosti- southeastern half.
Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.
Tuesday..Winds light in the morning increasing to southeast 15 to 20
in the afternoon and southerly 20 to 25 by evening. Seas 1 metre
building to 1 to 2 metres by evening.
Wednesday..Winds westerly 25 knots diminishing to west 20
