Wind diminishing to northwest 15 to 20 this evening except northwest 30 over southern sections. Wind becoming west 20 late overnight then increasing to west 35 Sunday morning. Wind veering to northwest 35 to 45 Sunday afternoon.

Rain changing to showers or flurries Sunday morning. Fog patches dissipating overnight.

Issued 10:00 AM NDT 11 April 2026 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1012 mb located over New
Brunswick.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday low 999 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1006 mb located southwest
of the Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Sunday low 990 mb located northeast of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line east-west over
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:51 AM NDT 11 April 2026 A deepening low pressure system over New Brunswick will slowly track
over Western Newfoundland by overnight tonight. Meanwhile, a second
deepening low pressure system will approach from the south and track
across the Grand Banks. On Sunday, both systems are expected to merge
into an intense low pressure system that will remain nearly
stationary just east of Funk Island Bank.

Gale force northeasterlies to northwesterlies will develop in the
vicinity of the first low over the Gulf waters this evening, while
gale force southerlies to westerlies develop over the Grand Banks
with the second low. As the lows merge on Sunday, gale force
southwesterlies to northwesterlies will spread to all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.
