Issued 10:00 AM NST 15 December 2017 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 955 mb located southeast of Ungava Bay.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday merging low 972 mb located over Labrador
Sea.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today intensifying low 977 mb located northeast
of Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday merging low 955 mb located over northern
Labrador Sea.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday approaching low 996 mb located south of
Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:55 AM NST 15 December 2017 An intense low pressure system southeast of Ungava Bay will slowly
meander today. A second, fast moving low pressure system northeast of
Belle Isle Bank will rapidly intensify as it accelerates towards the
Eastern Labrador Sea today. The two lows will merge over the Labrador
Sea tonight. Gale to storm force southwesterlies can be expected over
most waters today in the wake of both lows.

A third intense low pressure system will approach from the southwest
on Saturday and cross the Grand Banks. North of the low, gale force
northeasterlies will shift to gale force northwesterlies. To its
south, gale force southeasterlies will veer to gale to storm force
southwesterlies.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Strait of Belle Isle, Belle Isle Bank, and the Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.
