By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today deepening low 1005 mb located over
southwestern Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday high 996 mb located over Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:29 PM NDT 4 September 2026 A developing low pressure system will approach from the southwesttonight and move to lie south of Newfoundland by Saturday afternoon.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies to northeasterlies are expected
to develop north and east of the low on Saturday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, and the Southern Grand
Banks.
