Island Bank.
At 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday approaching trough located over Quebec.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over eastern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Avalon Peninsula.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:21 PM NST 26 February 2021 A trough of low pressure over Southern Belle Isle Bank will continueto cross northeastern waters tonight. Strong to gale force west to
northwesterlies will persist over eastern waters as the trough
passes.
On Saturday, strong to gale force southwesterlies are expected to
develop over western waters between a passing ridge of high pressure
and a trough approaching from the west.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Coast and East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
