Issued 3:30 PM NST 22 November 2017 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NST today weakening low 1005 mb located east of the
Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 1008 mb located east of
the Marine District.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday intensifying low 988 mb located south
of Nova Scotia.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 978 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located east of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:36 PM NST 22 November 2017 A low pressure system east of the Grand Banks will weaken as it
drifts southeastward this evening. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies over eastern waters will gradually diminish tonight
as the low weakens and pulls away.

An intense low pressure system will then approach from the southwest
tonight and track northeastward over the gulf Thursday. Gale force
southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low Thursday morning
veering to gale to storm force westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that there is potential for high
waves and pounding surf along the Southwest Coast late morning and
into the afternoon on Thursday, which may result in minor coastal
flooding. Please monitor future forecasts for updated information.
