Issued 3:00 AM NDT 7 October 2024 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 991 mb located south of Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing low 994 mb located southeast
of the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located from Labrador Sea to New
Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday ridge located from Labrador Sea to the
Southwest Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday approaching trough located over the
St. Lawrence River.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:59 AM NDT 7 October 2024 A low pressure system south of the Laurentian Fan will gradually move
eastward today and tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies over
southern waters will gradually diminish through early Tuesday morning
as the low tracks away from the district.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southern Grand Banks.

At 12:30 A.M. NDT, hurricane Kirk was located near 38.6 north 43.6
west. Kirk is moving northeast at 22 knots with maximum sustained
winds of 70 knots and a minimum central pressure of 964 MB. Kirk is
expected to become post-tropical today and will not have any impacts
on Canadian waters.
