Issued 8:00 PM NST 16 February 2019 Tonight and Sunday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a line north-south overwestern Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday intensifying low 976 mb located northeast
of Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:53 PM NST 16 February 2019 A trough of low pressure over Western Newfoundland will move to lieover eastern waters Sunday morning then lie northeast of Belle Isle
Bank Sunday afternoon. A low pressure system will develop in the
trough Sunday afternoon and intensify as it moves to lie over the
East Labrador Sea late Sunday evening. Gale force southeasterlies
ahead of the trough will shift to gale force westerlies behind it.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au Port, Southwest Coast, East
Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
