Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 18 September 2018 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough located south of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday quasi-stationary trough located on a
line east-west over the southern Grand Banks.

By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday approaching low 1004 mb located south
of Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:55 PM NDT 18 September 2018 A trough of low pressure south of Newfoundland will gradually move
southeastward to lie nearly stationary on an east-west line over the
Southern Grand Banks Wednesday morning. Strong to gale force
northeasterly winds north of the trough will continue throughout the
forecast period.

By Wednesday morning, a low south of Nova Scotia will approach the
southern marine district. This low will cause the strong
northeasterly winds over the Southwestern Grand Banks to increase to
gale force easterlies on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast and Southwestern Grand Banks.
