Issued 3:30 PM NDT 10 October 2024 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeastover the East Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday trough located east of the Marine District.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT Friday low 972 mb located over Labrador Coast.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:16 PM NDT 10 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over east of Newfoundland will slowly trackacross eastern waters before moving east of the district on Friday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will continue ahead of the
trough.
This trough will strengthen into a low over the Labrador coast on
Friday. Strong to gale force northwest to westerly winds will develop
over western and southern waters late in the day on Friday as the low
strengthens.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank - northeastern
half, Funk Island Bank and Grand Banks.
