the Grand Banks.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:45 PM NST 26 December 2024 A trough of low pressure will remain nearly stationary over the GrandBanks throughout the forecast period. Strong to gale force east to
southeasterlies are expected east of the trough, with strong to gale
force northeasterlies to its north and west. Winds will diminish over
all waters tonight or Friday as the trough weakens.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand
Banks.
