Issued 10:00 AM NDT 8 March 2026 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today trough located on a line northeast-southwestover Anticosti Island.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Monday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:48 AM NDT 8 March 2026 A trough of low pressure over Anticosti Island will continue eastwardacross the marine district today before lying over the Funk Island
Bank by Sunday night. Gale to storm force southwesterlies will
continue across the district today and tonight ahead of the trough
while strong to gale force westerlies to northwesterlies will form
Monday behind the trough.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Strait of Belle Isle and the Gulf waters.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
