At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight building ridge located from Quebec to
the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 956 mb located southeast
of Greenland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:49 PM NST 5 March 2026 A trough of low pressure east of Belle Isle Bank will move eastwardtonight and Friday while a ridge of high pressure builds towards the
district from the west. Strong to gale force northwesterlies over
northeastern waters between these two features will gradually
diminish as the trough moves away and the ridge of high pressure
approaches.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
