By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday low 988 mb located over Belle Isle Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
central Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:49 PM NDT 12 May 2026 An intensifying low pressure system will cross Newfoundland tonightand further deepen as it moves to lie north of the island on
Wednesday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies are expected east of the track
of the low, while strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop
to the west of its track. Winds will shift to strong to gale force
west to southwesterlies in the wake of the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Gulf waters.
