Issued 8:00 PM NST 18 December 2024 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 1014 mb located over the
East Coast of the U.S.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday deepening low 997 mb located over Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:57 PM NST 18 December 2024 On Thursday a low pressure system will approach the district from the
southwest and quickly track across Southeastern Newfoundland.
Gale force south to southwesterlies are expected to the south and
east of the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
southwest cost, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks.
