Issued 3:00 AM NST 25 February 2024 Today Tonight and Monday At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line north-south over
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located west of the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line east-west over
southern Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:38 AM NST 25 February 2024 A trough of low pressure over Newfoundland will track eastward across
the marine district today, departing to the east of the district by
this evening. Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of trough will
shift to strong to gale force west to northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southwestern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, East Coast - north of Cape
St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
