At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 950 mb located north of Lake Melville.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 974 mb located south of Greenland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:55 AM NST 4 February 2023 A low pressure system north of Lake Melville will move southeastwardacross Belle Isle Bank tonight before moving east of the district on
Sunday. Gale to storm force southwesterlies will shift to gale to
storm force northwesterlies over most waters tonight behind the low,
with hurricane force winds expected over Belle Isle Bank.
Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Storm warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters.
