over the South Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:30 a.m. NDT Monday departing trough from low located east of
the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:26 PM NDT 10 May 2025 A deepening low pressure system over the Gulf of Maine will approachthe marine district tonight. The low pressure system will cross the
Gulf of St. Lawrence on Sunday morning before moving to lie over
Belle Isle Bank by Sunday afternoon. Moderate to strong
southeasterlies to northeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to
strong to gale force southwesterlies to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf waters, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
