Isle Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching trough located over the
St. Lawrence River.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:57 AM NDT 9 May 2026 A trough of low pressure extending from Belle Isle Bank to the GrandBanks will move to lie east of the marine district by this evening.
Strong to gale force southerlies can be expected over eastern waters
ahead of the trough. Winds will shift to moderate to strong
westerlies later today behind the trough except over northernmost
waters where a brief period of gale force northwesterlies can be
expected before winds diminish tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
