of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today trough located over southern Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday trough located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NDT 8 October 2026 A low pressure system south of Greenland will depart to the east this
morning.

Strong to gale force westerlies over northern waters will diminish
this morning.

Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure will slowly approach from the
west today. Strong to gale force southerlies will spread across most
waters, ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port and Belle Isle Bank.
