Issued 8:00 PM NST 4 February 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 968 mb located overBelle Isle Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday low 945 mb located east of Greenland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:49 PM NST 4 February 2025 An intense low pressure system over Belle Isle Bank will tracknortheastward to lie east of Greenland by Wednesday afternoon.
Gale to storm force south to southwesterlies are expected south of
the low, while gale to storm force north to northeasterlies are
expected to its north. Winds will diminish to strong to gale force
west to northwesterlies across the district in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for South Coast, East Coast, Northeast
Coast, and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
