By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 959 mb located south of Greenland.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 1008 mb located southwest of the
Marine District.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 1003 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Monday ridge located over the western Maritimes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:54 AM NST 22 December 2024 A deep low pressure system over Northern Belle Isle Bank will tracknortheastward today to lie south of Greenland on Monday. Gale to
storm force northwesterlies to southwesterlies are expected today for
most areas.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining regions except Gulf-Port au Port and the Southern Grand
Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf waters and Belle Isle Bank.
