By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 992 mb located north of the Gaspe
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located south of
the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:57 AM NDT 26 April 2018 A low pressure system southwest of Cape Cod will move northeastward
to lie near the Gaspé Peninsula this evening then over the Labrador
Sea by Friday evening. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will
develop over western waters this evening and elsewhere overnight or
early Friday as the low approaches. Winds will gradually diminish by
Friday evening as the low moves north of the marine district.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island
