Issued 10:00 AM NDT 21 September 2018 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NDT today departing low 993 mb located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located over southern Ontario.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday trough located on a line north-south
over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over central Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Avalon Peninsula.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:42 AM NDT 21 September 2018 An intense low pressure system will cross Labrador on Saturday as an
associated trough crosses Newfoundland waters. Gale to storm force
southerlies will develop over Gulf waters this evening ahead of the
trough and will spread across the marine district tonight and
Saturday. The gale to storm force southerlies will veer to gale force
west to southwesterlies in the wake of the trough by Saturday night.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters, and Belle Isle Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except the
Southeastern Grand Banks.
