Issued 8:00 PM NST 22 January 2025 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight deepening low 994 mb located southeast
of the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing low 982 mb located east of
the Grand Banks.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 979 mb located north
of Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday high located over Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday high located south of the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:47 PM NST 22 January 2025 An intensifying low southeast of the Grand Banks will move to lie
southeast of the marine district overnight tonight. Strong to gale
force northerly winds are expected over southern waters tonight as
the low passes.

On Thursday a strong area of high pressure will drift south of the
marine district. Gale force westerlies will spread over northeastern
waters Thursday afternoon between the high and a stalled low north of
the Labrador Sea.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Southwestern
Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
