Island.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday low 988 mb located over western Belle
Isle Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Funk Island Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located east of Belle
Isle Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:51 PM NST 8 December 2024 A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will crossNewfoundland on Monday. Gale to storm force southeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low and shift to strong to gale force southwest
to northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised storm warnings are in effect for South
Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Southwestern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Northeast
Gulf.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
