Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NST 20 November 2019 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 996 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 991 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 992 mb located southwest of Sable Island.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 990 mb located over Banquereau.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:53 AM NST 20 November 2019 A low pressure system just east of Funk Island Bank will move
eastward away from the district tonight. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies to the north of the low and strong to gale force
westerlies to its south will diminish to moderate to strong north to
northeasterlies as it moves away.

Another low pressure system well south of the Maritimes will track
northeastward to approach the Grand Banks by Thursday evening. Strong
to gale force east to northeasterlies will develop over most of the
district ahead of this feature.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, the Gulf waters and Southeastern
Grand Banks.
