Issued 3:00 AM NST 17 December 2018 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located from the Southwest Coast of
Newfoundland to the Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located east of the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 999 mb located near Cape Cod.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 977 mb located south of Cape Breton
Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:53 AM NST 17 December 2018 A low pressure system will approach from the southwest today to lie
over Cape Breton Island by early Tuesday morning. The low will slowly
move northeastward on Tuesday to lie over the Southwest Coast by
evening. Strong to gale force southeasterlies are expected to develop
over southern waters this evening ahead of the low and spread
northward throughout the forecast period.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk
Island Bank and the Grand Banks.
