northeast-southwest over the northern Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 975 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 979 mb located east of Funk Island
Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:52 AM NST 9 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over Funk Island Bank will continue to move
southward to lie over the East Coast of Newfoundland today. Strong to
gale force northeasterlies will spread to the north of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle and Belle Isle Bank.
