of Funk Island Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 1002 mb located over northern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Sunday low 995 mb located over the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:53 PM NDT 27 May 2023 An intensifying low pressure system will meander over the Belle IsleBank area tonight before departing to the east of the district by
Sunday morning. Gale force northwesterlies over northern waters will
diminish overnight tonight as the low drifts out to sea.
A second low pressure system will approach from the northwest on
Sunday and move across Newfoundland to lie over the Northeast Coast
by Sunday evening. Gale force northwesterly to northeasterly winds
will develop over Gulf waters Sunday evening behind the low.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast,
Belle Isle Bank, and funk island band.
