Issued 3:30 PM NST 12 December 2018 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. NST today intensifying low 965 mb located over the
southwestern Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Thursday low 955 mb located east of the Marine
District.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today dissipating ridge located over Belle
Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:23 PM NST 12 December 2018 An intense low pressure system over the southern reaches of the
Southwestern Grand Banks will continue to deepen as it keeps tracking
to the northeast tonight. Gale to storm force east to northeasterlies
ahead of the low will shift to gale to storm force north to
northwesterlies tonight in its wake. Storm to hurricane force
southwesterlies can be expected over the Southeastern Grand Banks
this evening, before shifting to hurricane force northerlies over the
Eastern Grand Banks overnight.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Storm warnings are in effect for East Coast - Cape St. Francis and
south, Funk Island Bank and Southwestern Grand Banks. Gale warnings
are in effect for South Coast, East Coast - north of Cape St.
Francis, and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island
Bank.
