Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:42 AM NST 21 February 2019 Gale to storm force northwesterlies will continue to diminish today
between an intense low pressure system southeast of Greenland and an
approaching ridge of high pressure to the west.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southeastern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Southwest
Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand
Banks and Southwestern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Strait of Belle Isle and Northeast Coast
which are mainly ice covered.
