of Labrador Sea.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today low 993 mb located over Ontario.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 1005 mb located over Cape Breton
Island.
At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Nova Scotia.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday ridge located over the eastern Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:00 AM NDT 3 April 2025 An intense low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will tracknorthwards today. Gale to storm force northwesterlies in the wake of
the low will diminish today as the low departs.
A second area of low pressure will approach the district from the
west today and pass over Cape Breton Island then south of
Newfoundland on Friday. Strong to gale force northeast to
southeasterlies are expected to develop north of the low on Friday.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for Funk Island Bank and
Southwestern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
