Rain and fog banks changing to flurries this evening and ending Tuesday morning. Flurries Tuesday late in the day. Visibility 1 mile or less in fog banks and in flurries.

Issued 10:00 AM NST 15 December 2025 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:00 a.m. NST today deepening low 974 mb located over the
Southwest Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Tuesday low 932 mb located east of Funk Island
Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:54 AM NST 15 December 2025 An intensifying low pressure system over the Southwest Coast will
track northwestward to cross Eastern Newfoundland this evening and
Funk Island Bank Tuesday morning. Gale force southwesterly winds will
spread over eastern waters while gale to storm force east to
northeasterlies will spread north of the low. Winds over all waters
will shift to gale to hurricane force westerlies to northerlies
behind the low tonight and Tuesday morning.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk
Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks. Storm warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters except Gulf waters where gale warnings are
in effect.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are further advised that water levels are expected
to exceed the highest astronomical tide with high waves and pounding
surf, impacting some coastal areas of Northeast Coast and East Coast
tonight into Tuesday morning, most significant near high tide.
