Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM AST 11 December 2018 A trough of low pressure near the Cabot Strait will move south to
Banquereau this morning before moving east of forecast waters. Strong
to gale force northwesterlies prevail near the trough over eastern
waters tonight into this morning. The cold northwesterlies will also
give freezing spray to much of the northern marine district into this
morning.

An intensifying low pressure system southwest of Georges Bank
Tonight will move to lie near Laurentian Fan Wednesday morning.
This will give strong to gale force north to northeasterlies to slope
waters which will increase to gale to storm force northerlies for
easternmost waters. Again, cold northerlies developing behind the low
will give freezing spray to parts of the north and western marine
district.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait-eastern half
and Gulf-Magdalen eastern half.
