Issued 8:00 PM AST 22 January 2018 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located from James Bay to East
Scotian Slope.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 995 mb located southwest of the
Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Tuesday low 992 mb located over southwestern
Quebec.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:54 PM AST 22 January 2018 Strong to gale force west to northwesterly winds in the wake of a low
pressure system east of Labrador will gradually diminish this evening
as the low pulls further away and a ridge of high pressure builds in
from the west.

A second low pressure system near the Great Lakes Tuesday morning
will track eastward towards the region. Strong to gale force
southerlies will spread across most of the district on Tuesday ahead
of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Banquereau, and Laurentian Fan.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for northern half of
Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen,
Chaleur-Miscou, and Anticosti.
