over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday trough located over New Brunswick.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 1002 mb located south of Georges Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday low 991 mb located southeast of Cape
Breton Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:51 AM AST 25 November 2017 A low pressure system will approach from south of Georges Bank
tonight and intensify as it tracks northeastward across Sable Island
Sunday morning and into Newfoundland Sunday evening. Strong south to
southeast winds will develop ahead of the low and will reach gale
force over eastern waters overnight into Sunday morning. Strong to
gale force westerlies will develop in the wake of the low on Sunday.

Marine interests are advised gale warnings are in effect for Georges
Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian Slope, Banquereau, Laurentian
Fan, and Anticosti - western half.

...Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery...

Sunday..Winds westerly 15 knots increasing northwest 25 knots near
noon and to northwest 30 knots in the afternoon.

Monday..Winds northwest 25 knots diminishing to northwest 20 near
noon then increasing to northwest 25 in the evening.

Tuesday..Winds northwest 15 to 20 knots in the morning diminishing to
variable 10 knots near noon backing southwesterly 20 knots in the
evening.
