Pointe-des-Monts to Anticosti - southern half
Issued 2:22 PM EST 09 December 2024 A major low pressure system with explosive development will cross the St Lawrence River near Quebec City on Thursday morning to lie over northern Quebec this evening.As this system approaches, storm force southerly winds will develop on Thursday morning and become westerly late in the day. Westerly gales will continue on Friday and could cause freezing spray as temperatures fall.
In addition, wave heights could reach up to 3 or 4 metres in some areas.
