Issued 3:30 PM AST 2 March 2021 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. AST today low 965 mb located south of Anticosti Island.By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 965 mb located north of Cape Breton
Island.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday low 976 mb located over eastern
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday low 973 mb located over southern
Labrador.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:16 PM AST 2 March 2021 An intense low pressure system south of Anticosti Island thisafternoon will track east-southeast tonight to lie over Eastern
Newfoundland by Wednesday morning. This low will merge with a second
low over Southern Labrador by Wednesday evening. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies are expected southwest of these lows. Winds are
expected to gradually diminish through the day Wednesday.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank, West Scotian Slope, East Scotian
Slope, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou
and Anticosti-western-half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining maritime waters. Freezing spray warnings are also in effect
for all ice-free waters.
