Wind light increasing to southeast 15 knots late this afternoon and to southeast 20 this evening with gusts to 35 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind becoming southeast 25 to 30 near midnight with gusts to 45 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind becoming southeast 35 to 45 late overnight with gusts to 65 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind diminishing to southerly 25 late Saturday morning and to westerly 15 early Saturday afternoon.

Snow beginning late this evening changing to freezing rain near midnight then to rain late overnight and ending near noon Saturday. Snow or rain Saturday afternoon and evening. Fog patches forming early Saturday morning and dissipating Saturday afternoon. Visibility 1 mile or less in snow and in fog patches.

Issued 3:30 PM AST 15 February 2019 Tonight and Saturday At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the eastern Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located on a line north-south over
New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday trough located from Newfoundland to
Laurentian Fan.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:16 PM AST 15 February 2019 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from the
west this evening and move across the district on Saturday.
Increasing southeasterly winds will develop ahead of the trough over
western waters and spread eastward tonight. Marginal gales are
expected over extreme southern waters while gale to near storm force
southeasterlies are forecast over northern waters. Winds diminish to
moderate to strong westerlies in the wake of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen - northern half and Anticosti.
