Wind southeast 25 to 30 knots with gusts to 45 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind becoming southeast 35 to 45 early this morning with gusts to 65 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind becoming southerly 25 to 35 late this morning then diminishing to westerly 15 this afternoon. Wind increasing to west 20 to 25 near midnight then diminishing to west 15 Sunday evening.

Rain changing to snow or rain near noon and ending this evening. Fog patches forming early this morning and dissipating this afternoon.

Temperatures minus 4 rising to plus 2 this morning then falling to minus 12 Sunday evening.

Issued 3:00 AM AST 16 February 2019 Today Tonight and Sunday At 3:00 a.m. AST today trough located from New Brunswick to the
Gulf of Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight trough located from Newfoundland to
Laurentian Fan.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday trough located northeast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located west of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:40 AM AST 16 February 2019 A trough of low pressure will move eastward across the marine
district today. Gale to storm force southeasterly winds are forecast
ahead of the trough. Winds will diminish to moderate to strong
westerlies in the wake of the trough.

Gale force northwesterly winds will develop Sunday morning over
northern waters between the trough and a ridge of high pressure to
the west.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Anticosti - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen - northern half and
