Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday low 975 mb located over Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located south of the Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:40 PM AST 9 November 2024 A low pressure system will remain east of Newfoundland before
tracking northward away from the region later in the day on Sunday.
In the wake of this system, strong to gale force northerly winds are
expected to diminish from west to east tonight and throughout Sunday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges Bank,
Northumberland Strait - western half, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery.

Monday..Wind southwest 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 20 in
the afternoon then decreasing to west 10 in the evening. Seas less
than 1 metre increasing to near 1 metre in the afternoon.
Tuesday..Wind west 10 to 15 knots increasing to west 20 early in the
afternoon and to northwest 25 to 30 by the evening. Seas less than 1
metre building to 1 to 2 metres in the evening.
Wednesday..Wind north 30 knots decreasing to northeast 15 to 20 in
the afternoon. Seas near 1 metre.
