Issued 10:00 AM AST 13 November 2018 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Nova Scotia.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located east of the Marine District.

At 3:30 p.m. AST today deepening low 1003 mb located near Cape Cod.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Wednesday intensifying low 970 mb located east
of Anticosti Island.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Wednesday departing low 952 mb located northeast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:56 AM AST 13 November 2018 A low pressure system will develop along the eastern us seaboard
today and will rapidly intensify as it tracks northeastward towards
the Maritimes. The low will intensify further as it moves into the
Gulf of St. Lawrence overnight and into Newfoundland by Wednesday
evening. Winds ahead of the approaching low will reach gale to storm
force southerlies. As the low passes winds will become gale to storm
force westerlies for the remainder of Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Northumberland Strait, Chaleur-Miscou
and Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

High winds on Wednesday will produce rough and pounding surf along
west facing shorelines in the Gulf of St Lawrence.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery:

Today..Winds southeast near 20 knots increasing to southeast 25 early
this afternoon. Wind increasing to southeast 45 early this evening
over Grand Manan (lfa 38, western lfa 36) and to 35 this evening over
Fundy (eastern lfa 36).
Wednesday..Winds west 40 knots (eastern lfa 36) and northwest 45
knots over Grand Manan (lfa 38, western lfa 36).
Thursday..Winds northwest 25 knots diminishing to 15 in the afternoon
and to light late in the day.
