Issued 3:30 PM AST 14 November 2018 Tonight and Thursday At 3:30 p.m. AST today intensifying low 960 mb located east of
Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday low 944 mb located north of the Grand
Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Thursday ridge located west of the Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Thursday ridge located over Nova Scotia.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:15 PM AST 14 November 2018 A low pressure system currently will continue to intensify as
It moves east of Newfoundland tonight. Gale to storm force
northwesterlies in the wake of the low will begin to diminish on
Thursday as the low moves further away over the northern Atlantic.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
eastern shore-eastern half, Sable-eastern half, East Scotian
Slope-eastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and
Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

High winds will produce rough and pounding surf along west facing
shorelines in the Gulf of St. Lawrence today and tonight.

Outlook for the start-up of the Southwest New Brunswick lobster
fishery:

Tonight..For lfa36 winds west 40 (lfa36). For lfa38 winds northwest
45 knots diminishing to 25 to 35 after midnight
(lfa38).

Thursday..Winds northwest 30 knots diminishing to 20 by mid-morning
(lfa38 and western lfa36) and late in the morning (eastern lfa36).
Winds diminishing to north 10 to 15 throughout the Bay of Fundy in
the afternoon. Waves 2 metres over southern sections of the fishing
districts, subsiding to less than 1 in the afternoon.

Friday..Winds becoming southeast 15 to 20 knots early in the day and
then increasing to easterly 35 around noon and then becoming
northerly 35 in the evening.

Saturday..Wind westerly 25 knots diminishing to westerly 15 to 20
late in the day.
