Issued 7:44 PM AST 17 February 2026 An intense low pressure system southeast of Laurentian will continuemoving northeastward this evening to lie over the Southern Grand
Banks overnight. Gale to storm force northeasterlies north of the low
will become strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Scotian Slope - southeastern half, Banquereau - southeastern
half and Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for Sable, East
Scotian Slope - northwestern half and Banquereau - northwestern half.
