Issued 10:00 AM AST 12 February 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. AST today low 982 mb located east of Cape Breton
Island.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight departing low 982 mb located over
Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. AST Friday ridge located over the eastern United
States.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:51 AM AST 12 February 2026 An area of low pressure east of Cape Breton will move northeastward
to lie north of Newfoundland later tonight. Gale force
southwesterlies south of the low shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, East Scotian
Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait,
Northumberland Strait - eastern half, Gulf-Magdalen, and Anticosti.

Marine interest are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti.
