Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM ADT 8 May 2025 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today trough located from the Strait of Belle
Isle to New England.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Nova Scotia.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT Friday quasi-stationary trough located over the
southern Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:39 AM ADT 8 May 2025 A trough of low pressure is slowly tracking across the district.
Strong southerly winds ahead of the trough will back to strong to
gale force northeast winds north of the trough today. Winds are
forecast to weaken tonight as the trough passes south of the
Maritimes.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Anticosti - eastern half.
