Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:56 AM AST 12 December 2018 A low pressure system south of Laurentian Fan will intensify as it
tracks northeastward today. Gale to storm force north to
northeasterly winds are forecast over the southeastern marine
district associated with this disturbance. Cold northerly winds will
reach gale force over Gulf waters this afternoon and spread southward
giving freezing spray to parts of the north and western marine
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for Sable, East Scotian
Slope, Banquereau-southeastern half, Cabot Strait, Northumberland
Strait-eastern half and Gulf-Magdalen-eastern half.
In addition, freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand
Manan, Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and
