Marine Weather StatementIssued 2:56 AM AST 17 January 2019 A trough of low pressure will continue to move across the marine
district this morning. Strong to gale force southerly winds ahead of
the trough will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake
and usher in a very cold airmass with strong northwesterly winds
prompting widespread freezing spray over all but extreme southern
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen, Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, southwestern
shore, LaHave Bank, eastern shore, Sable, Fourchu, Banquereau, Cabot
Strait, Northumberland Strait, Gulf - Magdalen and Anticosti.
